FAQ

What AML/CTF responsibilities do I have as an adviser?

Even if you don’t need your own program, you must still follow the procedures of the reporting entity (your AFSL or the issuer), including:

  • Collecting and verifying identification documents
  • Using the issuer’s approved KYC forms and systems
  • Reporting suspicious matters to the AFSL/issuer, who then reports to AUSTRAC
  • Maintaining AML/CTF training and awareness
