FAQ

What is an ACL Responsible Manager expected to do?

A Responsible Manager is expected to support the credit licensee’s organisational competence in a real and ongoing way.

In practice, that means helping ensure your business has the knowledge, skills, oversight and supervision needed to carry on the credit activities covered by the licence efficiently, honestly and fairly. The person should have qualifications, training, and experience relevant to those activities and be meaningfully connected to how the business is run.

A Responsible Manager should be able to demonstrate that their background aligns with the credit activities being carried out, that they contribute to the supervision and management of those activities, and that they have sufficient time and involvement to support the business properly.
